WARNING: DON'T GO IF THEY ARE NEAR CLOSING TIME. We arrived unknowingly about 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close. No one would acknowledge our presence at the door. My mom waved to a waitress who was cleaning about 10 feet from us and said, "Hi!". The waitress gave us a sour look and walked to the back without so much as a word. After several minutes with all the staff moving around us cleaning we almost gave up. Then a hostess came to the front, announced they would be closing soon and did we want to be seated. We answered yes and told her we just wanted drinks. She let out a very deep sigh and walked us to a table by the counter and kitchen. The dirty looks we received from the staff while we waited for our server were noticeable. When our waitress came to the table she seemed nice enough and reminded us yet again that they were 20 min from closing. There were several other tables of people in the restaurant. After about 5 minutes she came back and said they were out of hot chocolate and did we want coffee. We asked if they had anything else and she suggested a latte drink. That was all she had in hot drinks. We got up and left. I am not sure we will return to the Frisco location. We did however go to the IHOP off 723 and DNT and they had great hot chocolate and our server was nice and quick.
The service is spot on. The cuisine is excellent. And the atmosphere is right where it should be. Excellent . Thanks for a great experience at Norma cafe's.
Can't believe we just now went having lived here over 16yrs. But, better late than never!
CHECK YOUR WATER!! We sat at table 56 and arrived there around 1 pm. The food was ok, but the service was not very good. Besides the service, there was a big black fly in my husbands water. We informed the waitress and she immediately, took the fly water and replaced it and apologized. However, it took here 15 mins before taking our order. The place was a little busy but not overly busy because there were several other waitress that were quickly serving their customers. When the waitress finally took our order she told us that she informed the manager about the fly and he would come over to check on us; but he never did come by to check on us . This was my second time going and my husbands first time and he never wants to go back.
Sunday afternoon is probably not the best time to go.
Good sign it had a line to eat, well worth the wait. Food was like homemade and portions are large. Can easily split for 2 people.
