My Girlfriend had recently purchased a gold cross necklace and gifted it to me for our 5th anniversary. On the second day after I got the necklace my dogs paw reached up and snagged the chain causing it to break. I called Markham frantic and worried that my recent gift might have been ruined. Mark Gatten told me to come down so they could take a look. After about 3-5 minutes of waiting Mark brought me back my chain better than new with a smile on his face. With relief and excitement I asked how much he needed for payment. Mark told me that my specific chain was an easy fix and to not worry about paying. To Mark this was an easy fix, and insignificant compared to the terrible feeling I had in my stomach from seeing an expensive present be broken so quickly. My visit to Mark at Markham Jewelers resurrected my belief in honest and upstanding business happening in today's world. Places like Markham, and people like Mark personify the meaning of great customer service and creating lasting and enduring relationships with everyone who walks through the door. I called this business a week or so and Mark Gatten answered, He was very professional on the phone and made a little joke about buying a time piece. When i went in the two ladies at the front were very aware and both greeted me with kind words. I asked for Mark and they pointed me in his direction, you would think he owned the business not by his name but the passion he has for the business and establishment. I am all about service and would quickly turn around and go somewhere else if it was bad but he is top notch. We sat down and he did the work in front of me which is awesome that they do that. we sat and talked and got to know each other. He went above and beyond even asked about my wife. This is customer service at its best and will recommend him and the establishment to anyone looking for a time piece. Great job Mark and ill see you soon for a new watch. Thanks again!

Marcy and Griffin (both managers) have been absolutely wonderful in helping us find the right jewelry. Marcy helped me locate a very specific piece of jewelry that took over 6 months to locate and she went over and above trying to find it for me. I will never forget the day she called me that she had located it and then on top of that she gave me a great price as my heart had been so set on finding this piece that was no longer being made. Then today we went in looking for a specific item for my husband and they did not have it in stock and so Griffin searched around and while we were there he left to go pick it up for us at another location of theirs. Now that is customer service! while we were waiting, Marcy knew of an item that I would like that would go beautifully with the other items she had sold to me and of course I fell in love instantly. I have never been in a jewelry store where the employees take the time to get to know you like they have and help you find the right pieces within your budget. We had worked with Griffin as well two years ago at another location and we were thrilled when we saw he was now in management at Markham. Both he and Marcy are a pleasure to work with and we keep coming back.

I travel the country for my job and the way I treat myself is with beautiful jewelry. I have shopped everywhere but, I can honestly say, I never ever had an experience like the day I shopped at Markham. I walked up to this beautiful building and once inside was immediately greeted by a very warm, professional woman that I was guessing could be the boss. Well, I was right! I met Marcy and we immediately clicked. She was helpful, but not pushy. Her knowledge about diamonds and jewelry in general is insane! I loved having her show me around and help me try on various rings, necklaces and bracelets. After a while, I said I was just going to walk around and check stuff out by myself. I noticed that she was equally as engaging with other people that came in after me. I was in the sevice industry for years and honestly, want to be treated as Marcy treated me but for some reason, it doesn't happen much anymore. If sales people do not think you are definitely going to make a purchase, they disengage quickly. Marcy didnt do that with me or with the others she was helping. She was so darn friendly, but in a professional way. If I owned a business, I know I would want Marcy to be at the helm. Kudos Markham! She is the right person to be running such a sophisticated store.
