My son has progressed into the primary program where we continue to be impressed with the teachers and staff and all that he is learning. We value the personal relationship each staff member at the school has made with our family and we're excited to send our youngest to Starwood in the future. I just can't say enough good things!
Starwood Montessori has really helped my son come out of his shell. He has learned so much since starting at this school! He loves to go to school! The entire staff at Starwood Montessori is super loving and friendly. I love dropping him off knowing that he is in good hands with all the wonderful staff!
Our journey with Starwood Montessori started almost 11 years ago, and our experience has been nothing but positive. Our 4th child is currently in Toddler classes and loves it - her vocabulary has blossomed since starting classes, and she is comfortable and happy at school. We had the same experiences with our other 3 children. They truly enjoyed going to school. Further, in having seen the classroom in action in Toddler, Primary and Elementary classes, we were always assured that the teachers had our children's best interest in mind. Ultimately, the proof was in the pudding - our older children transitioned to other schools above their grade levels in math and reading. I believe their early foundation at Starwood contributed greatly to their acedemic success. As parents, we wanted to give our children a head start, and we certainly got it at Starwood.
Starwood has been such a wonderful experience. We moved our son from public school after completing 1st and 2nd grade. He is a very outgoing, hands-on child that learns through a modality other than what public school offers. The Montessori Method meets his individual needs, and he has thrived beyond measure. It's not all about standardized testing!! It allows him to be the unique child that he is!! Most importantly, he is happy and enjoys going to school. He is finishing up his second full year at Starwood, and we look forward to next year!
My son's primary class teacher was very uncompassionate,careless and rude. He was so scared to go to that class. I often go to the school and monitor him and I always feel that the teachers are not loving and compassionate to the kids. Several times they forget to put the things back in my son's bag. Once when I went there to pick him up he was crying continuously at the front door as his teacher scolded him for a silly reason and this teacher was not showing any mercy and was just standing there to drop my crying son off with other kids. Their focus is only on the money. They are not monitoring how the teachers are behaving to the kids. After all bad experiences, I immediately pulled out my son from that school, now my son is happy and good. I sent him to this school hoping to get the best out of him but what I got is just the opposite. I regret that I sent my son to this school.
We've had the best experience with Starwood! Our son started in the toddler program at 22 months and we've watched him blossom and turn into a very social and well mannered little guy. We also were very impressed with the curriculum at the school and the parent seminars that help you understand how to help your child grow through the Montesorri program. We moved from out of state and interviewed many different schools but I felt that Starwood had the most welcoming environment and they truly cared about the class dynamics and finding the best environment for each child. We also fell in love with Ms. Sarah, Ms. Elizabeth and Ms. Sharon all at the front who make the children's and parents experiences so genuine each day.
