Disappointing....
Came across Sandalwood Massage through a groupon deal for a couples massage. I was able to book within a day of buying and had it booked within the week! The deal included 90 minute massages for both myself and my partner, champagne, sweets, foot scrub, and aromatherapy. They didn't ask preference for gender of massage therapist, but it worked out in any case. If you can, ask for John, he was seriously amazing! Also note that the 90 minutes for the massage counts towards the total time you are in the room enjoying the champagne, sweets, and the foot scrub that occurs at the end of the massage. My partner wasn't completely satisfied with his massage therapist. Removing one star for the other therapist and the fact that the 90 minutes counts towards all of the above. Other than that, it was a great deal for what you got. I will be going back and booking with John again. Seriously, my back and body haven't felt this relaxed in a long while.
We had a Groupon for a couple's massage to include a foot scrub and champagne. My wife didn't get her foot scrub and we were never offered champagne. The "aromatherapy" was lavender that I could barely smell other than when she put it under my nose to see if it was ok. The massages were sub-par. I was not impressed. My wife says our son gives a better back rub than what she got. Mine was ok but could have been much better. Especially since you had to fill out a sheet saying where you wanted them to focus. It just was not what I was hoping for. At one point the lady doing mine left the room, I assume to get hot towels, and I never heard the door shut so I'm quite certain she left the door open while we were there on the tables. It was not romantic like I thought it would be, being a couples massage. It was a real let down. I know you get what you pay for, but the reason I go with a Groupon is to possibly find a new place. If I had paid full price for what I got, I would have REALLY been upset. The young lady at the desk was very sweet and professional. But when she asked how it was and my wife said "ok" unconvincingly...it seems she should be trained to delve into that type of response a little more. Just my two cents!
