Kind and professional staff/volunteers. A good place to take photos as that's what I see a lot of people do. Every 3rd Sunday is open house. The blacksmith shop also opens that day and is worked by volunteers from the North Texas Blacksmith Association. The museum is located near the Babe's Chicken restaurant. The blacksmith shop is near the locomotives and railroad tracks.
Too small and too expensive. The manager named Toyia is very unfriendly.
I haven't made it there during business hours, i look forward to going into the museum. The outdoor exhibits were excellent!
Nice place to learn about the history of Frisco. They have some original buildings from former prominent citizens. Only wish they had more on African Americans frim the era.
Coming here was a great experience. For both the adults and children in our group, there was fun and knowledge to be had. If you come with smartphone toting, attention deficit kids your gonna have an issue here. However, if you got a kid(s) that loves to explore and learn this place is for you. Trains are the main focus here. Although the history stems outwards from there, thats what you'll see the most of. Pictures and some light machinery inside, while full size examples have their place out front and in the railyard out back. Our guide was polite and informative and the building was very clean and professional. I'd recommend a trip here to anyone.
